The annual event remembers the event of fire of the old village of Camerata Vecchia happened on 9 January 1859. Tradition has it that to fire the country has been a fire propagatosi from a house where some people were to roast the mutton chop. At the center of the main square of this charming country Lazio (Piazza Roma) will be lit a bonfire on which the chop is cooked, which will then be sold to participants at the festival. The event which will start at 12.30 also provides for the distribution of a complete meal (first, chop, contour, and sweet wine) enhanced by live music.
In case of bad weather the event will be held indoors.
The Festival of the chop is celebrating its 51st edition.

Campoli Appennino village is a characteristic that lies between the snow-capped mountains dell 'Appennino laziale and is immersed in the greenery of the Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo Lazio and Molise. The territories are rich in calcium and naturally suitable for the formation and growth of the species most prized truffles. Downstream is the finest white in the black hills precious, and so the aestivum. For this reason, Campoli Appennino is also called "City of Truffles and dell'Orso". Every year we take two festivals of truffles, a 3rd weeek-end of June (Festa del Tartufo Nero) and the 3rd weekend of November (Festa del Tartufo Bianco).
In the old cellars of the old town, Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 November 2008, will host the 21st edition of the "Festa del Tartufo Bianco di Campoli Appennino". During the festival, tasting dishes with black truffles, (bruschette, dumplings, noodles, veal truffle, etc. ..) and exhibition of crafts and typical products of Ciociaria. Sunday 16 November, at approximately 09.00, will be on a singular race of the truffle dogs. Guest of honor, from Rai Uno, the Chef Fabio Campoli with the Gourmet Club. During the day, performances by traditional songs and dances typical Ciociara.

On 30 and 31 August 2008, the municipality Amatrice, in the province of Rieti, home to the queen of festivals: two days to taste the most famous dish, and tasty of Sabina and the region, the "Spaghetti all'amatriciana. The "Festa del Vino dei Colli del Tevere" turns twenty-five years. Squares and alleys of the old town you can taste the wine but also taste the delicacies of the local tradition, in the many taverns arranged for the occasion. The five-day exhibition will also be scanned by a rich program, with conferences devoted to wine, meetings with producers and moments of entertainment (theater, folklore, music, songs, dances and improvisations). Saturday, August 9 there will be a "night of silver, the most intense part of the event.

Every year we take two festivals of truffles, a 3rd weeek-end of June (the feast of black truffles) and the 3rd weekend of November (feast of the white truffle). From June 20-22 will be set up food stands and you can taste typical dishes with truffles. There will also be bidding demonstration of the truffle dogs and musical entertainment.
